8th Anniversary Oak-Barrel Aged Rum Continuum Barleywine
We brewed our barleywine in Fall 2021 with 100% barley malt grown and malted by Field Five Farms on the Saanich Peninsula.
Freshly emptied Barbados rum barrels then housed the beer, allowing the rich, fruity flavours of the rum and notes of vanilla to meld seamlessly with the Barleywine. The resulting smooth and mellow flavour is the perfect celebratory offering to our 8th anniversary.

Category 12 Brewing 'Continuum 2022 Rum' Barleywine @ 11.5% , served from a couple of 473 ml can's
A-pour is amber from the can to a dark amber in the glass with a small size tan/off-white head , quickly dissipating into a minimal lace ring along the tulip
S-Rum barrel aging
T-some smoothness for a Rum barrel aged barleywine
MF-mild carbonation , feels full bodied , (bit delayed) but I'm feeling the ABV
Ov-this beer with some time in the cellar will become interesting
