On tap at the LA Beer Week Kickoff Festival held at Exposition Park in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a murky brown with a foamy khaki head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is sour with malt, dark fruit, bourbon, red wine, wood, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with sour fruit, bourbon, red wine, and wood flavors on the finish. There is a medium amount of acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer that is a fantastic mix of sour barrel aged beers.
