Batch No. 1. Bottled on: 12/2015. 6.7% ABV per the label.

Pours a murky whitish-yellow with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is slightly sour with tropical fruit, tropical fruit juice, citrus fruit, earth, funk, Brett, and acidic aromas. Taste is much the same with slightly sour tropical fruit, citrus juice, earth, funk, Brett, and acidic flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of bitterness and acidity on the palate with each sip. This beer has a good level of carbonation with a crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with a nice mix of funk and tropical and citrus forward hop characteristics all around.

Serving type: bottle.

750 ml bottle poured into a tulip glass

A: Pours a golden honey orange with a bright white frothy head, no lacing, lots of bubbles streaming up the side, beer is hazy.

A: Brettanomyces, funk, tart, oak, picking up some guava, tangerines, mandarins, subtle aromas, no alcohol on the nose.

T: Brett funk and tartness up front, oak, hint of tropical citrus notes picked up in the aroma, finish is tart, dry, and oaky.

M: Light/medium body, lots of carbonation, crisp finish.

O: A solid sour ale, label says wild Belgian-style blonde ale but it's more like an American blonde ale with the citrus and tropical notes coming through, very tasty, balanced. I'd definitely buy another bottle or two for aging and see where this beer is at in a year or two.
