Enjoyed on tap at the source in Whitefish, MT; first experience with Bonsai
Poured into a pint glass
P hazy dark orange w/ a 1f off-white head; nice-looking beer; has a cascaded coloration effect from top to bottom
N med fruitiness (citrus and stone fruit) complimented by zesty and mellow rye notes; light-med sweetness; inviting
T delicious blend of citrus, apricot, and earthy rye; bready malt supports; cohesive profile, yet well-contrasted flavors
Mf creamy and full-bodied w/ med-high carb; really nice
O what a pleasant surprise and outstanding first impression of the brewery; an awesome dipa- love the rye representation; great drinkability as well; would absolutely have again, given the chance!
