Got on tap at a bar and paired with mozz sticks. Very bad War On Terror era country music was playing... we are in a midsize college town in New England. Alas, this is not a review of the 6/10 pub. A really gorgeous beer- nice clear amber color, nice ring, dainty spirals of lacing. Honey and malt on the nose. Taste is very toasted malt-forward and a little sweet. You ever have honey and butter on really nice fresh rye bread?

I'm very pleased that Iron Duke is now canning some of its varied products as it enabled me to pick up a few of them on a trip to western MA. This Amber Lager is an outstanding example of the style and undoubtedly the best of the various Amber Lagers I've tried to date. I'll be picking up more on my next trip to its distribution area.

Had at 99 Restaurant, L: reddish amber, fluffy offwhite 1" head, S: Malty vanilla T: Fantastic taste, unexpected Vanilla and Oak - sweet but not overly so, very low bitterness, F: medium mouthfeel, smooth feel, Overall: Very surprised by how much I enjoyed this beer, I drink IPA's mostly but wasn't interested in what they offered so I tried this. Perhaps the best Amber I have ever had and I've had many. Pronounced vanilla oak was very pleasing, It was very cold and delicious and I want more.

Nice Amber dark honey color. Sweet joy! Easy to drink and fresh tasting. Smelled malty but wasn't overly. Light after taste.
