We started with our Hogus Maximus Triple IPA, continuously fed the yeast until they tired of the buffet, then laid the beer to rest in freshly dumped bourbon barrels. Nine months later, the result is nothing like an Imperial IPA. Its transformation created a superbly balanced and gratifyingly lavish strong ale.

Hogus Maximus Extremis is not only the most potent beer we have made to date, but also the most intensely nuanced, boasting flavors of bourbon saturated vanilla bean, marshmallows impossibly toasted to a uniform golden brown, rich almond liqueur, English toffee candies, a touch of toasted coconut, and a lingering sense of hedonism.
