Postdoc Brewing

I had this beer on-tap in a Willi Becher glass at Postdoc’s Redmond brewery.

Appearance: pale golden-orange hue with a pretty good haze and a finger of creamy ivory foam with a little yellowish cast to it.

Smell: mild sweetness with a mostly orange-peel-ey hop character. It’s not bad, but it’s not terribly complex.

Taste: a lot of rich stone fruit flavor, with some bitter orange or grapefruit peel at the end. An interesting composition! I quite dig it, though.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a good carbonation and a really very smooth creaminess indeed.

Overall: this beer is pretty darn solid! Maybe not the best hazy ever — it’s maybe a bit bitter with some hop burn — but overall not bad!
