Batch 2 bottle. Dark brown, small beige head with little retention. Floral nose. Mead like taste that has that grain toasty notes. Somewhat sweet and very low bitterness.

22 oz. bomber poured into snifter
L: stout-like out of the bottle -- black topped by beige/tan head of foam, thick, almost two fingers tall and hanging around; keeps a thick, collar and razor-thin skin; no sticking or lacing and the skin disappears after about 10-15 minutes
S: dark malt, wine, sour grapes ... white wine; not a ton of dark malt but the wildflowers are pushing out a massive floral note that's sharp
T: super sweet ... like sugar syrup, so sweet it's taking a bit for the palate to adjust; some alcohol heat; roasted dark malt, like an oak stick charred on one end then dipped into Pooh Bear's honey pot; floral hops ... or something floral, flowery not earthy, like an American hop flavor in a black IPA (mosiac? centennial?) mixing in then hiding underneath the dark malt roast; honey mixed with molasses is the foundational flavor note
F: unique -- it's like liquid marshmallows, full of air and light but in no way watery; carbonated corn syrup; never felt anything like this
O: so, so sweet, but some dark malt flavors and those wildflowers do make an appearance; the ABV is for real and you can taste it, mainly in a steady burn in the throat; sweeter than mead but the sweet flavor is similar with a little roasted oak thrown in; very cool brew and would be perfect in a party setting -- this beer screams "share me!"

Poured at 50°F from a 22oz bottle (batch 1 - 26Jan15) into a sniffer. Consumed on 01May16.
LOOK: A fingers worth of khaki foam is formed once poured. At 35 seconds, the foam head halves itself. Black in color with an orange luster. There is a moderate amount of medium-sized rising bubbles. Lacing is thick and moderate.
SMELL: Strong aromas of honey, coffee, and sweet chocolate entangle with mild aromas of alcohol, plums, figs, and vanilla.
TASTE: Strong honey and sweet chocolate flavors first strike the palate. Mild coffee and vanilla flavors immediately follow. Mild alcohol, plum, and fig flavors along with subtle bitter roasted malt flavors enter lastly as all previous flavors persist, except for honey, which grow slightly stronger.
FEEL: Medium-bodied with subtle amounts of carbonation. Goes down smooth and creamy. Finishes with a mild dryness. A very strong, alcoholic burn can be felt as it goes down the throat.
