Another Beer I don't remember but had only ha 2 beers from this brewery. Looked up location may have had them when we were in Georgetown TX as it is close to them. Purchased in store or on tap in area this was about 5 years ago.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a slightly hazed orange color with a tiny white head of foam. The head fades very fast leaving just a trace of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is strongest of a bready malty smell mixed with aromas of caramel and some orange and tangerine fruit. Along with these smells comes a little bit of an orange rind and lemon peel as well as some hoppy notes of a pine and herbal nature.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and very light wheat taste with lots of caramel malt and some of the orange and lemon citrus that was in the nose. At the same time there are flavors of earthy hop as well as some lighter herbal hop tastes. The herbal hop grows stronger and is joined by some flavors of earthiness. Toward the end the sweetness fades a bit, leaving one with a moderately dank, and slightly malty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly thicker and more-chewy with a carbonation level that is slightly lower. For the more bready tastes mixed with the hop and the slight sweetness the feel is nice and makes for an easy drinking brew overall.
Overall – A decent IPA overall with a rather easy drinking nature. Nothing out of the ordinary, but at least worth a try.

Pours a hazy golden tan with a massive head that lingers for a while. Massive thick lacing. Nice hoppy smell. Decent mouthfeel, somewhat on the thin side. Nicely hopped. Tastes of grapefruit and lemon. I didn’t pick up a lot of malts. Decent to good IPA.

Pours out a cloudy pale amber. The head is off white with decent retention. Seems to be a bit rocky. Also seeing a few rings of lacing.
The nose if fruity. Getting lots of citrus and a sort of spiciness. I would say orange zest. Bitter but well balanced.
Yeah that spice is still there. Its quite good. Still getting some fruit. Orange mostly. Middle is bitter sweet and light with a linger citrus rind bitterness.
Smooth, nicely carbonated and refreshing.

12 oz. Can
Appearance: Very haze glass is gold fading into amber. It holds a big fluffy white head that clings to the glass giving thick rings of lace.
Aroma: Sugary base (crystal malt?) blends with a citric hop nose. Lime peel, melon, and a little pine.
Taste: Slightly underattenuated malt supplies enough sweetness so the hops don't overwhelm, but slowly take over leaving a bit of a burn at the finish. Leafy, some earthy notes, not as much West coast citric as the nose led me to believe.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium high carbonation, a little gritty, some oil in the finish, mild alcoholic heat.
Overall: A slightly undercooked IPA, a little raw and chewy. It's not bad, but it's not a world class IPA either. Solid summer beer, satisfying and tasty. No serious off flavors, a nice first taste of Strange Land.

On-draught @ the brewery.

2nd impression from a $1 draught pour @ Hat Creek Burger Company.
Overly bitter with an uninteresting rindy hop profile. Imbalanced; lacks sufficient pale malt sweetness.
Still drinkable, though, and for $1 a beer I'll take it.

Picked up from the local HEB beer aisle - poured into a whisky snifter.
Look: Sludgy caramel orange with decent carbonation quickly evaporating into a thin lacey circle around the edge of the glass.
Smell: I'm quite picky about having a lot of nose to an IPA and this one is a bit lacking of much if any hop oils. The faintest hops fragrance is overpowered by the acetaldehyde - the can says it's can conditioned, so that's probably the culprit.
Taste: Opting with a darker malt profile than most these days, the caramel malts give this a really nice malt backbone that's balanced by a decent but not overpowering hop flavor. However, the bitterness is so low that it edges on an APA more than the IPA, but nonetheless decent.
Feel: This beer hit a good balance of what an IPA should feel liked on the tongue - not too sticky or sweet, not overcarbonated, just a good ol' fashioned drinkable beer. That said, there's nothing surprising about it - it just meets the mark.
Overall: As harsh as the score and comments might indicate, this beer takes you back about 10 years ago to what IPAs used to be, and for that nostalgia effect I give it a solid 4. This is an incredibly balanced, drinkable beer which doesn't really excel in any particular area but the sum of its parts are great. This is a great session for folks who want something with a little more punch but have things to do tomorrow. Not enough breweries really make that kind of a beer anymore, and I'm glad Strange Land rose to the challenge.
