Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance - The beer is served a dark brown color with a small tan head of foam. The head fades away slowly to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma of the brew is strong roasted malt flavor with brown bread as well of sweet caramel smell mixed with a big pumpkin spice smell of cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. Along with these smells comes a bit of toast and roast.
Taste - The taste begins with a sweet caramel and molasses flavor with a little bit of pumpkin and spice. There is also a good showing of roasted malt and some brown bread. The spice, pumpkin, and roast get slightly stronger as the taste advances and with a touch of bourbon coming at the end one is left with a nice sweet and spiced pumpkin sorta boozy taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body of the brew is thick and chewy with a carbonation level that is low. It is great for the style and very nice for the sweet, spice, pumpkin and bourbon tastes and makes for a nice sipper.
Overall-This is a nice sweet and robust, not super pumpkiny, but nicely warming and smooth taste. Quite nice!!
