Pours a hazy pours hazy pale gold with a soft white head that quickly dissipates to a thin ring with little lacing. Aroma of citrus, peach, and light pine. Taste follows nose with juicy orange, tropical fruit, and a balanced bitterness. Mouthfeel is smooth and medium-bodied with a crisp finish.

No canning date, but it arrived ~3 weeks ago, with other beer that was canned 12/1/21.
Hazy yellow, with one finger of white head, that leaves a thin ring and 1" or so of streaky lacing.
Smell is pineapple, biscuity malt, papaya, and a hint of grapefruit.
Taste is grapefruit, papaya, and pineapple. Moderate bitterness.
Feel is medium, juicy, with light fine carbonation bite.
Another good one from Prison City. :)

one thing that has impressed me with these guys is their ability to get unique flavors out of well known hops and hop combinations, like right when you thought you have tasted every side of citra and cascade you get this beer, which takes a way les spicy side of cascade and puts it with a somewhat more assertive, even aggressive citra profile, a softer voice than we are used to for the former, a much louder one for the latter, very cool, and they harmonize nicely. this is drinking beer too though, hazy sure, but lower alcohol than some, very dry and well carbonated, and balanced by the grain enough to be on the pale ale line to me, hoppy as it is, bitterness is tame. the freshness here seems evident too, my brother shipped this out to me last week and i dont see a date on the can, but its at its peak to me, took the trip well. i get major tangerine, mowed lawn, white peach, dried lemon peel, and maybe a hint of white peppery spiciness, but not the usual cascade card, thats for sure. great hop profile, would have guessed more recently developed varietals with how bright and modern this is, a new role for cascade here no dount. really enjoyable beer, quality though the roof and unique in an often times samey style, thanks to my brother for the beer mail!

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a Sand City conical pint glass; canned 02/10/21.
A: Pours an hazy, golden to amber color with one finger, lemon chiffon head, a good bit more than rim retention, and rings of sudsy giving way to stickier lacing as you proceed down the glass.
S: Aromas of lime, grapefruit, pine, caramel, and barley. Barley persists and becomes stronger as it warms.
T: Semi-sweet with palate basically following the nose closely; lots and lots of caramel and lime. Solid bitterness consistent with the overall style.
M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation. Sharp close with almost a peppermint feel at the finish.
O: My fifth Prison City beer: like the others, very well made.

Sunburst yellow that I'd categorize as cloudy over hazy. Bright and floral aroma; huge whiffs of sweet citrus and tangerine; hard pineapple candy, honey biscuit, candied grapefruit peel. Drinkability is high with good carbonation balancing the med-light, juicy body. Fantastic flavor that is a tropical enigma--mangosteen--with blue spruce, red berry and tangerine. Fair amount of green grass and dank diesel in the finish to provide a solid bitterness without overwhelming the juicy and floral element from the hops. Also, some bubblegum, which is just very TH although the mouthfeel isn't really comparable.
Stylistically, I'm conflicted in my rating. The can suggests NEIPA, but their taproom menu lists it as American as well as untappd, and this site. If that's my understanding this would be in my regular rotation hangs down--the flavor profile is that welcoming and the mouthfeel has that certain crispness with the bitter finish that strikes me as refreshing with a moderate ABV.

On tap at Prison City Brewery North Farm in Auburn, NY.
This one pours a slightly hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like clean floral and grassy bitterness, tangerine, mango, and grapefruit.
This is super solid and very clean - a nice hybrid between the styles from each coast. There's a great candied tangerine and grapefruit note, with a very clean and refreshing bitterness, and basically no malt character.
This is light bodied, clean, super crisp, and very drinkable.
This seems to have scaled up very well - it's an extremely tasty little IPA.

Sampled at SAVOR 2017. This brew had a great bold scent and a nice citrus taste. It was not top tier, but it was still really enjoyable and easy to drink.

L: Cloudy with a nice white head. Head isn't too thick, and while it's very opaque, it isn't as much so as a few other beers they have that I've seen.
S: Fruity citra goodness.
T: This one is straight hop juice. Little bitterness at the end that rounds it out well.
F: Not as "chewy" as the very top notch in this style - but still pretty damn good.
O: Wish I would've gotten this one first (it was my 3rd and last beer at Prison City). It's a great beer!

This beer pours a cloudy and completely opaque golden color with a two finger, pillowy, bright white head. Retention is amazing, the head stayed at it's initial two finger height until I was more than halfway through. There are also sticky chunks and rings of lacing left all over the glass.
Smell is very bright and fruity. Grapefruit, pineapple, mango and orange explode out of the glass. Right from the first whiff I would have guessed this beer was packed with galaxy hops, but the description says cascade and citra.
Taste is the same. Very juicy and flavorful. The finish is slightly bitter.
Feel is soft, creamy, and very smooth. The carbonation is on the low side of moderate, but it works perfectly.
Overall this is an amazing beer. Honestly if I was tasting this blind I would easily mistake it for a Treehouse beer. As of writing this review I still haven't tried Mass Riot, but I can't imagine how it could be much better than this beer. Fantastic stuff!
