On tap at Prison City Pub and Brewery in Auburn, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear dark orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like zesty and super bitter pine, peach, marijuana, and grassy hops.
This is definitely a bruiser- it's very bitter, very biting, and very burly, but there's also a nice soft peach and grapefruit flavor here that balances the bitter backbone. There's a bit of very slightly sweet caramel malt propping the beer up in the background.
This is light bodied, but still full enough, with a good level of carbonation. It's a little bit of a slow sipper due to the high level of bitterness.
This is definitely a loving homage to the original king of West Coast IPAs.
