This beer pours a cloudy and opaque golden orange color. There is a 1.5 finger creamy white. The head is lacking in the retention department, but leaves a lot of sticky webbed lacing all down the glass.
The smell is pineapple, pine, orange and orange pith. The flavors are nice, but they don't jump out of the glass at you like many other Prison City D/IPAs.
Taste is the same. The fruit flavors are present at the beginning of the sip, but are quickly swept aside by earthiness and pine providing a moderately bitter finish.
Feel is medium with moderate carbonation. It is sticky and resinous with the bitterness and carbonation providing a prickly finish.
Overall this beer is very good. Not as flavorful as some of the other PC beers, but still very enjoyable. I've only had a few other beers brewed with lupulin powder and this one is definitely the most tame.
