On tap at Prison City Pub and Brewery in Auburn, NY.
This one pours a mostly hazy golden orange, with a small white head, and lots of lacing.
Pekko hops are really weird. There's kind of a sweet old gum flavor, mint, herbs, peach tea, and grapefruit. It sounds weird, and that's correct- because it is. I'm not sure that I like Pekko hops, based on this aroma.
The taste is the same. This is so strangely herbal- I get mint, lime, and something maybe like juniper- with a dirty grassiness, some slight sweet grapefruit. The beer itself is well made, it's just that Pekko hops probably shouldn't be used very often.
This has a soft and somewhat juicy mouthfeel, with a good level of carbonation.
This one was too weird for me to actually work.
