This beer pours a cloudy golden yellow color with a two finger, creamy bright white head. Retention is about average and there are some rings and spots of lacing left on the glass.
Smell is grapefruit, orange pith, pineapple, pine and berries. Not overly aggressive, but not exactly subtle either.
Taste is the same, but a little more flavorful than the smell suggests. It's not so much as one flavor up front and others on the finish. The flavors all combine very nicely and there is a nice bitterness on the finish from the pith and pine.
Feel is light side of medium and crisp with moderate carbonation. The carbonation combined with the bitterness really prickles the tongue on the finish. Hop oils cling to the palate well after the sip is finished.
Overall this is a very good beer. Not what I would call a world class Prison City offering, but maybe just a tier below. Very enjoyable and easy drinking.
