A touch too sweet. Creamy to the point that it seems to have lactose. Needs more roast and nuttiness to balance it out. But in small doses, this is a decadent dessert beer.

On tap at Prison City Pub and Brewery in Auburn, NY.
This one pours a dark and glossy brown, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells like caramel, chocolate, creamy coffee, light bourbon, vanilla, oak, and bready malt.
This is excellent- it reminds me of what I imagine BA Sumatra Mountain Brown would taste like. The base stands up well to the barrel aging- it stays creamy and thick, while adding creamy vanilla, a hint of oak, and nice sweet bourbon notes. The coffee is killer- creamy and earthy, lightly chocolatey, some cookie dough flavor too. I also get caramel and breadiness from the brown ale.
This is rich and creamy, with a good level of drinkability, despite the ABV. It's not really boozy at all.
This is really decadent stuff- highly recommended. I hope they make it again.
