Linus Loves Juicy is another beloved hazy IPA that’s juiced up with Mosaic & El Dorado hops. Big notes of candied lemon and grapefruit peels.

Edit : Can says Mosaic & El Dorado , not the Vic Secret that some earlier reviews mention.

Moderately hazy yellow, with just short of two fingers of ivory head.

Smell is fresh pineapple, papaya, ....hmmm... pawpaw, fresh-squeezed orange juice, and slight fresh grapefruit.

Taste is bitter orange, pineapple creamsicle, light grapefruit pith, and passion fruit. Light-moderate bitterness.

Feel is medium, lightly-creamy, with moderate , semi-soft carbonation tingle, with slight drying effect at & after finish.

Nice, slightly bitter NEIPA (It IS NEIPA), that hits all the right notes.

16 FL. OZ. can
Served in a stemless wine glass

This beer pours a golden hue and is turbid. It is topped with several inches of tan head that leaves nice lacing as it retreats.

Resiny aroma and smells dank. I get some citrus as well.

Pine and bitter grapefruit flavors. The bitterness doesn't linger though.

Medium bodied with a pillowy mouthfeel

Solid IPA

Mild but enjoyable. Cloudy orange, big fluffy head and lacing. Tangy zesty citrusy notes on the nose and tongue. A mild resiny aftertaste. Medium bodied, subtle alcohol presence, full mouth feel with a mouth watering finish. Better than how it’s rated and I think the label calling it a NEIPA is more accurate than the American IPA it’s listed as here.

16oz can into a pint glass. Canned 11/21/23, so coming up on 2 months old.

Excellent hazy NE look. Thick pale orange juice body, strong foamy white head, gobs of lacing. Aroma strongly fruity, can even pick out mango, a rarity for my poor nose. Not so much fruit on the nose, a little bitey, but slightly sweet. Finish is slightly drying, and a mild hop burn. Overall, am liking Prison's offerings so far, appreciate that the price point hovers around $18-20.

From a 16oz can dated 11/21/23. The label mentions this batch featured Mosaic and El Dorado hops. Very nice NE IPA.

this is major modern from prison city, vics secret and el dorado, a rad hop combination, but i was not in love with this one overall, much as these two hops play well together. the base beer is pretty starchy and dense, heavier than it needs to be for this hop profile, bold as it is, and it drinks a bit weighty to me overall, even with good carbonation. the hops are also on the edge of being overdosed to me, i get the rip melon of el dorado and the zesty citrus and floral character of the vics secret, hints of pineapple, cantaloupe, peach and apricot, and juicy mango are all here, and its herbal too, but it has some green bite in the flavor, a little pellet harshness too, and with all the grainy body this one is kind of a lot, drinks like an imperial in many respects. there is some hop burn late in this, and it is more exaggerated as it warms, but the hops still taste so good, i get pineapple, meyer lemon, and fresh tulips in here, a light chalky thing to the grain, soft wheaty feel, good carbonation, long hot hop linger, a pretty assertive intensity on these hops, not used to these varietals like this. not my favorite from prison city, as much as i like these two together, i think the proportions are a little high and the heft is a little much. i could happily drink two maybe three of these tops before i would be fatigued of it...

On tap at Prison City Pub and Brewery in Auburn, NY. Hopped with Vic Secret and El Dorado.

This one pours a very hazy golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.

On the nose, I get candied mango, melon, grapefruit pith, pine, and more just general tropical fruit character. It pretty much explodes on the nose.

This tastes awesome. There's so much candied tropical fruit- mainly mango and a little tangerine, with some hints of melon and grapefruit, and no malt character. There's a subtle grapefruity bitterness on the finish.

This is medium bodied, creamy and rich, with a good level of carbonation, and a high level of drinkability.
