Loaded with a double dose of Citra and Mosiac hops and fermented with Vermont ale yeast. Nice balance between the big tropical juice notes and slight bitterness on the finish.

16oz can into a pint glass. No freshness dating.
Pale hazy pineapple juice body. Small white head leaves rings of lacing initially. Aroma of dry hopping. In tasting, quite dank, as is the finish.

My first beer from Prison City. A well balanced DDH. Highly recommend!

Another great brew from PCB. Enjoyed drinking this side by side with regular Riot in Vermont... 2 cans / 2 snifters.
Both poured a lovely beer with soft wire head. Both had decent retention and a bit of lacing.
DDH was more the soft hazier yellow brew vs the slightly more orange golden clearer RIV.
Similar decent but not outstanding nose.
I surprisingly found the DDH not as robust taste wise as the RIV. Still Delicious.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a conical pint glass; canned 02/05/21.
A: Pours a slightly hazy, golden color with ochre highlights, leaving a no more than one finger, fluffy, white head, strong retention (nearly a half finger for a while), and sticky rings of at first amorphous then more solidly defined lacing.
S: Yeasty breadiness on opening. Aromas of grapefruit, ripe nectarine, and pine out front with more subtle orange and lime notes becoming evident later. Caramel maltiness more in the background.
T: Semisweet. Grapefruit, nectarine, pine, orange zest, lime, and caramel all play a rĂ´le in the melange, with a distinct barley note, all providing a counterpoise, but not necessarily a balance, with the very solid bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with solid carbonation (on swirl test, the head pops right back in place).
O: This is a fine beer. Heard about this brewery on the "Brewed in NY" series on PBS. DDH Riot VT (perhaps not so ironically) reminds me quite a bit of Heddy Topper, one of the ur-NEIPAs (really a Vermont IPA) particularly in look, as well as aroma and taste. Hope these keep coming downstate: really enjoyed it.
