Had a taste on tap at PCB downtown; then a Crowler later.
Was a bit underwhelmed with taster, but previously loved Citra Oasis and hoped that I’d find this Galaxy version more enjoyable with a full pour at home.
But……..Overall a bit disappointing.
I like Galaxy a lot, but found the flavor somewhat masked by a pervasive soft bitterness. Distracted from the Galaxy fruits.
Appreance was standard soft creamy hazy yellow, but head immediately dissipated. A touch of halo but no lacing.
Nose was more floral and fruity. Nice.
Body was smooth, but bartender had noted this beer was brewed with oats and had a creaminess similar to an OH Daydream. My impression didn’t match that. Ok smoothness, but not the velvety creaminess I had hoped for.
All in all the beer was good, but not up to expectations… and definitely not up to what I’ve experienced with PC brewing NEIPA’s.
