Brewed in the Sticke Alt style for their Fifth Anniversary. Pleasant bitter bite with a smooth malty finish.

Pours clear copper (SRM 14-16) with a thick creamy and puffy off-white head. Thick patches of lace form archipelagos on a Simpli stange. There is no visible carbonation.
The aroma is that of crisp, rich malt. Taffy adds a low level of sweetness. Fruity orchard aromas, primarily apple, are countered by light pepper and faint floral notes.
Malt flavors dominate with fresh white bread holding court. Light butterscotch is followed by lots of cashews and Brazil nuts. Bitterness evolves slowly to be pronounced late and hold through a long, dry finish.
The beer has a medium body and woolly texture. Alcohol is faint and well below expectations. Carbonation is light.
This is a nice drinking beer despite the alcohol level. I can imagine enjoying a pint during a long afternoon with friends at a pub, or while watching a ball game.
