Subtle toasted aroma gives way to light to moderate bitterness. The use of base and roasted rye malt imparts the flavor of marble rye bread with a subtle earth hop character. Medium-bodied and made with 100% New York State ingredients.

A shallow, khaki head dissipates quickly and noisily. The clear, reddish brown beer is topped by a thin ring and scant lacing.
Strong toasted malt leads to wheat bread and roasted almonds. Candy sugar sweetens the aroma.
The flavor follows the nose with the toasted malt and wheat bread. Sweetness is in check, and bitterness is modest. There is a touch of astringency in the long, moderate finish.
Alcohol is mild, as expected, with mild carbonation. The body is light to medium, with a light, creamy texture.
Having been a while between trying brown ales, this one is hitting the spot better than expected. I suspect it would be better suited as an after work beer, while sitting and reading.
