Had this towards the back half of the day at Strange Brew festival held on May 18, 2019. They also had a fish beer, but I went ahead with the sushi instead.
Pours a standard beer yellow, 1/4" white head with slightly obscured vision. The aroma showed more ginger than anything. Other than that, seemed like a standard blonde ale without much else going on.
Taste, I dunno, is it the familiarity with ginger and rice that made this "seem" like there was a fishy aspect of it? Who knows, but I did get a legit sushi vibe out of this one. They have sushi usually one night a week, maybe they just held on to some leftovers and threw 'em in the tank. Either way, it wasn't some awesome beer or anything, but there have definitely been much worse sampled over the years at Strange Brew.
I mean, if you really like sushi or ginger, I'd say check it out. Nonetheless, I wouldn't expect Alibi to start canning this one anytime soon.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
