Had this at Strange Brew Festival on May 18, 2019. Having dug the sourdough wild ale from almanac I figured let's give this a try (and I like sourdough bread, my fave). Pours a slightly hazy yellow color familiar to those in the know when it comes to beer. 1/3" white head. The aroma was majorly bready, almost brett like. I enjoyed it, gave off some complexity in terms of the yeast notes.
Taste, this had a lot more of that bread meets brett feels to it. It was relatively thick on the flavor department, uniquely so given that the beer had virtually no hop taste or malt taste/filling. It was all about showing off this sourdough starter or whatnot. I dug it. Pungent yeast feels in a beer. In a way, its complex flavors were pushed by its simplicity of setting up a base beer that would showcase whatever the highlight was, in this case, bread notes. Slight feeling of almost a chardonnay barrel to it as well. I dug it. One of my faves that day at the festival.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
