Smell is on the sweet side- dark fruit, licorice, maple syrup, with a bourbon compliment and a hint of spice. Taste follows- sweet malt, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, a hint of licorice and cinnamon, with a bourbon finish. Pretty nicely balanced. Nice and warm too. This is an inviting BA imperial- none of the flavors are a punch in the mouth, and everything blends together really nicely. Well done.
