Mr. Tartacular, our globe-trotting prankster, is always searching for his next palate-puckering adventure. His quarterly rotating series of fruit-saturated sours has become something of a legend in the Lake Tahoe area. The summer release - Mr. Tartacular's Fantasy Island - combines 1.3 pounds per gallon of guava, pineapple, and mango with a stainless-fermented (not kettled soured) sour blonde ale. All that wonderful fruit is allowed to ferment to a medium-dry finish, leaving the beer firmly tart, deeply juicy, and endlessly drinkable.
