Aroma is vanilla dominant, with notes of caramel malt. Vanilla overwhelms a bit.
Flavor is on the sweet side, with toffee and caramel throughout, and a vanilla sweetness. Finishes lightly toasted and dry. Very drinkable, given the abv. As it warms, notes of cinnamon and nutmeg emerge, subtly, but adding depth.

An oatmeal cream pie brown ale. Poured from a growler into a Bruery tulip. The pour is dark burnt orange, kind of like iced tea, and slightly hazy. It has a thin head that quickly dissolves down to a fine lace around the sides of the glass. Interesting nose. I get some vanilla, baking spices, brown bread, and a little toffee.
Medium-full body with a creamy feel and a flavor that is exactly what you think it is - a Little Debbie Oatmeal Cream Pie. It's sweet and cake-like up front, with flavors like oatmeal cookies and spice cake, and it has a vanilla undertone that provides the taste of a creamy filling. Surprisingly, this is not overly sweet. It is balanced by a hint of allspice and a whiff of hops and there's no mistaking that this is a beer. The beer seems to sweeten a little and the flavors become richer as it warms.
This stuff is delicious and utterly unique in my experience. The only thing I've had that kind of resembles it is the French Toast Stout I got at Wicked Weed. It's kind of like a winter warmer without all the spice. Definitely recommended.
