From a growler via Party Town (home of Mash Cult) poured into a snifter. This nice
porter pours a deep and murky blackish brown with a nice head of off white foam that
subsides to a thick ring, thin subtle pool, and showcases some nice light lacing. Nose
of orange peel, tea notes, light cinnamon, and subtle chocolate malts. Flavors fit the
bill to the nose with orange peel and cinnamon notes that are balanced and a mid note
to sweet chocolate malts and earthy malt flavors and notes of strong steeped tea. Decent
mouth feel; medium body, light carbonation, and a lightly dry finish accentuated with cinnamon
and orange peel.
Overall a decent little porter
Of note I just learned today about the passing of a person who
waited on us for years---Coy. Haven't frequented this place as
often as we used to----rest in peace friend.
