330ml bottle from SuperValu, Westport (€3.75):
Very clear amber with a half cm, foamy white head & a lot of bubbles around the sides. Slightly yeasty, some floral hops with some faint banana coming through on the nose. It's a similar taste with some biscuit & bread malts as well; quite lively & sweeter than expected with some herbal flavours seeing things out.

It's genuinely OK. Carbonation dominates flavour. Yeasty but for some reason there's a lack of maltiness or bread in finish. Promises a tad more than delivers. What's with the fizz though?

Had on tap. Boring and forgettable belgian blonde. Basically captured the style, and then dialed down all flavors in favor of more breadiness. Not bad, but just not really worth seeking out.

Bubbly gold with a mist of yeast and a sticky web of off white that does fade eventually. 4
Husky grain, some slight yeasty band-aid phenols, and apricot skin. 3.75
Baguette crust, orchard fruits, super-mild clove, and some herbal hops. 3.75
Woody (as in, a tiny thread of white phenol-smoke) finish and numbing linger.
Lt-med, way fizzy, some cling, a bit of tin. 4
What to expect from a Belgian out of Mayo? Not much - the vaguest phenols, the dullest esters - and that’s what you get. Fizz distracts from everything else, making me think this is (counter-intuitively) aimed at lager drinkers. I keep looking for what I might have missed, but I think there’s just not much here, though I wouldn’t know it’s not authentic either, which is saying something. Not Affligem, but certainly not Val-Dieu either. 3.75
