Nice to experience and Irish example of a triple. Am generally a fan of the Westport brewery. Its a solid ale, a little heavy on malt and spice, but good balance of sweetness and phenols overall. Goold looking amber with a fine, white head. Crisp feel which also adds balance. Without being overly complex, it's quite interesting.

330ml bottle from Hargadon Bros. in Sligo (€3.75):
Lively & fresh with plenty of spice in this well carbonated beer, there was some pepper & Belgian yeast coming through that gave the beer some nice complexity. There's a little alcohol showing further on with this one as well as some banana & cloves that work well together with some lighter malts further on to round of a pleasantly surprising tasting beer.

Pours a clear, orange/tangerine colour. Smells spicy, sweet, banana, and clove. Tastes crisp, medium-bodied, spicy, sweet, clove, crisp and balanced, with nice carbonation. This is a very well-done abbey-style beer out of Westport!
