Had on cask. Cloudy orangey yellow body, pale white head. Huge lemon juice and mild piney hops star in the nose, yeast is supporting but light. Taste again washes the palate with huge lemon and now orange juice, hops are even more mild than nose, almost tart with the juiciness, light white pepper and thin yeast round out. Does not feel tart, but watery and thin, gone so quickly off the palate. Interesting take, but it just didn't come together enough for me

so, so light, this drinks like an american session beer, not sure i would call it english really at all in terms of style, especially with the northwestern hops, this has some higher alpha bitterness and isnt really all the delicate on the hopping, despite this having very little grain backbone, yeast character, body, or color, its minimal beer but boldly hopped, maybe a tad out of balance then, but i appreciate the effort to bring lightness and flavor together. this is my first ever beer from big smoke. watered down golden color, not even fully clear, short head from draft pour, fizzy though like soda, and a nose of pine and bitter citrus, lightly spicy and vegetal too, but not oversaturated or grossly dry hopped or anything. the ferment is pretty clean, the malt base must be mostly pils and a little bit of pale two row, its almost nonexistent. the hops keep it beery enough, and i get the session appeal, but i was hoping for a little more from this, the quality is solid, theres just not really all that much here. no real flaws or anything, need to try some others from these guys...
