Sample on tap at What’s Brewing BF, Stavanger. A run of the mill pale ale (which is not necessarily a bad thing, as I love pale ales), appeared more American than English to me. Very drinkable, but not particularly exciting.

Nose of fruity hop. Fresh, light structure with some bitterness in the finish.

Pours a strawy-golden color, with a huge, bubbly head.
Offers a pleasant grassiness, together with a profound yeast profile offering a whiff of spices and a flowery quality. Crisp lemon peel adds to the otherwise very subtle hops on the nose, reminding me almost of a well hopped Helles.
Has a high carbonation, supporting fruity hops in their refreshing appearance, while the beer remains easy drinkable.
Tastes of white bread malts, wrapped up by leafy hops, which unfold their fruity potential, once an effervescent carbonation becomes noteable on the palate. While the beer has an underlying wheat quality, hops add a crisp orange fruitiness, accompanied by white lemon zest, producing an enjoyable hoppy bitterness. This gets balanced by more bread, a toffee hint, and a soft aqueous minerality, which keeps the beer easy on the palate, while showcasing a distinct, well balanced hoppiness.
Very nice pale ale, with a well integrated hop profile, which doesn't overpower the palate, as for its convincing bready balance. Easy drinkable while exhibiting enough fruity bitterness to satisfy my palate.
