Pours a deep dark-brown color with a huge top of cappuccino colored head that dissolves slowly and leaves some really sticky lacings.
Aroma is roasted malts, coffee, chocolate, licorice, smoke and hops.
The taste is roasted and malty with strong coffee notes, while there is also some slight sweet fruit notes there as a ballance to the strong roasted characther. The finish is bitter and roasted with some herbal hop notes and leaves a long aftertaste. The malt notes are nice but the flavour lacks some ballance and it gets a little thin. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with a medium carbonation and a medium body.
A very good russian imperial stout by all means, but i was hoping for more.

Pours a pitch black coloration with a huge, creamy, dark mocha-colored head. Smell is a little watery, but with weak notes of roasted malts, coffee and herbal hops. Taste is dominated by roasted malt and and strong coffee notes, as well as ligher notes of chocolate, licorice, tobacco and floral, earthy hops. Finishes with a medium/strong bitterness and some roasted, earthy notes lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
This had quite a bit of potential due to its intense, dry and bitter character of roasted malts and coffee beans, but suffers from a somewhat overdone, floral hoppiness that gives this a slightly soapy character, which is a real shame. The balance is not too bad, meaning this is still quite drinkable, but it just could have been so much better without that overdone hoppiness, which a lot of German stouts seem to be suffering from for some reason.

Pours a viscous, oil black color, with a huge, bubbly beige head.
Smells of spicy coffee, toasted malts and glazed caramel among a tart, acidic whiff. A layer of matured grassy hops blends perfectly into the beers foundation, topped off by soothing mousse au chocolate.
Drinks pleasantly smooth, revealing its gentle creaminess especially during the finish, creating a pleasant interaction with slightly spiced, yet soft chocolate.
Tastes of salted caramel among heavily roasted toffee and earthy coffee beans. Develops a great silkness, brought to the palate by the coffee, establishing a dry bitter chocolate quality. Its chocolate flavors grow even richer during the finish, due to wooden spices and red wild berries, bringing out the best of a subtle tart note, leaving the palate with a pleasantly bitter chocolate softness.
Flavorful, intense, well put together and utmost soft on the tongue. While it begins sweeter, the beer exhibits a nice chocolate complexity, while adding a pleasant dryness to the beers medium body. Enjoyable throughout.
