We took our Altbier, fed it after midnight, and let it disappear into the cellar for a month. What came back is bigger, bolder, and a bit more dangerous.
This Doppelsticke layers rich notes of brown sugar, raisin, and deeply toasted malt, balanced by a firm herbal bitterness. Despite the ABV, it drinks smooth with a subtle, almost wine-like complexity.

Had on tap at the brewery in Purcellville, VA. It's sweet and fairly boozy, but not over-the-top. Some citrusy hops, caramel, and toffee. Surprisingly drinkable. Overall solid!
