Look: Pours a hazy, bright straw yellow color with a one finger satin white head of foam. Excellent lacing on the glass. A very pretty looking beer.

Aroma: Lemon meringue and ripe bananas with some spicy herbal/floral hops in the foreground.

Taste: Mellow flavors of bittersweet citrus, almost like a lemon drop candy type of flavor but not as sugary. Goes malty with flavors of sugar cookies and biscuits before ending on very mild notes dry hoppy/bitter pineapple.

Feel: Very easy drinking, I mistook this for a session IPA at first. 6% abv is not apparent. Body is moderate in weight and low in carbonation.

Overall: Thirst quenching and very tasty. I've got almost nothing but good things to say about it.

Southern Tier Trial #3 of 3
12 oz can, best by 12/2/21, into Pipeworks Willie.

Haze indeed, with a huge shaving cream head of 2 fingers, leaving lots of lace as it recedes.

Hop spoilage on the nose with pearl onion, old citrus peels, malt soup, and slight orange candy.

Flavor opens with wood and slight pine, lemon peel, green tea, some herbal hop, a little bit of citronella, grapefruit peel, hop spoilage, and onion.

Feel is carbonated, very empty, juicy (but not as juice as Lake Shore Fog), starchy, and a little dry towards the finish. and Light alcohol heat. Lingering starch/parch.

Overall, another disappointing IPA from Southern Tier. You definitely need to visit these beers at least 3-4 months ahead of the "Best By" date. They suck at calculating their tipping point. Oh well, one more down.

whoa, it's hazy. im so sick of this trend in beer... i can't even express it in human language. smells like pineapple. the taste is more pine and earth and bitter. nice and dry, how I like my IPAs, but very unlike the style

mixed bag. make less hazy IPAs please. if chunky IPAs were what's "in" i'd be very happy

Decanted from a 12 oz (355 ml) can into a Captain Lawrence muffin top pint; best by 10/30/21.
A: Pours a very slightly hazy, golden color with a two finger , white head, somewhat more than rim retention, but very limited lacing.
S: Aromas of grapefruit, peach, lemon, and pine.
T: More semidry than semisweet. Flavors basically follow the nose, but pitted fruit more like nectarine than peach penetrates. Thought I detected a barley note at first. Solid bitterness that really enhances the finish.
M: Medium bodied with medium carbonation
O: This is solid, subtle, interest AIPA offering. I have been very impressed by Southern Tier.

When presented with a 15 pack and 5 different beers, I went to this beer first since it was a new part of the rotation which Southern Tier puts out. It is a solid Hazy and stands up to some of the pricier 6 packs which are 11 or 12 dollars. I found it easy to drink. The taste and smell is quite refreshing and I would recommend it, especially as part of a mixed 15 pack which is reasonably priced.

Pours a fairly clear gold with two finger head. Not very hazy. Smell is herbs and citrus. Taste is a lot of citrus and some pine. Nothing groundbreaking here. I like their Lake Shore Fog more for this style.

On draft

Hazy light yellow color, white head, some lacing. Tropical fruit hop aroma and flavor - pineapple and papaya. Low bitterness. Softer mouthfeel

Slightly hazy pale yellow, with moderate white head. Looks like freshly-squeezed lemon juice.

Smell is a vague mix of citrus/tropical fruit, plus a hint of malt and yeast.

Taste is grapefruit pith, lemon, a hint of nectarine, and a bit of that vague tropical mix present in the aroma.

Feel is light-medium, slightly juicy, with moderate, very fine , sharp carbonation.

Overall , this is not unpleasant, and would be content with it if offered, but I wouldn't seek it out. If restricted to choosing just from the S. Tier lineup, I would opt for Lake Shore Fog, or good ol' ST IPA , over this, every time. ;)

The head... I mean, it's there, but it fails to distract from the parasitic swamp water body. *sigh* Who the hell is that look supposed to appeal to? Not me, that's for certain. Smells... there's some lemon, I guess. More like Lemonheads, honestly. Pithy and bitter undertones. Not my cuppa tea. Tastes kinda green? I don't know how else to put it. Green, lemony and sweet. Finishes with a bitter, dry tea note. Sort of thin bodied, but drinks easy enough and isn't overly carbonated like these hazies tend to be, so it has that going for it. Dunno. I swear I didn't go into this hellbent on hating this beer, but... blech. Just not my thing, I guess. I wouldn't have got it on it's own, but it was packed in with Southern Tier's mixed 15 pack so I guess I have to drink three of these. I'd give 'em away but I don't have any friends. Maybe it's because I'm so critical?

Pours slightly hazy and very pale. Dank hoppy aroma. Not quite what I expected. Juicy hop body. Fades quickly to a slight bitterness. Kind of flat. Not one of their better IPAs.
