Two of these rare to find twelve ounce cans have been emptied into a clear glass liter mug. It's a nice pour and a nice aroma. First, the visual: It's light copper-amber in color, somewhat translucent, with a modest off-white head that appears to be enduring. The aroma brings malt and a matching piney and/or resinous hoppy character. Then, that's how it drinks. Nothing noteworthy, just a solid American IPA. The malty body probably outdoes the hopiness, but not by much. The finish is dry, clean and mildly bitter by virtue of those hops. There's some above average glass lacing, a nicely balanced hop/malt relationship, with both contributing to the overall and a very tasteful inclusion of the ABV. It may be as good as it is rare to find.
