tasty pastry indeed (eyes, ears, nose, tongue and throat)... but strictly as an occasional (and with 3 to go...)

Italian dessert meets American stout in a sweet, sultry and savory sip that's prove once and for all that you can have your cake and drink it too.

Jet black and cast in a near onyx sheen, Southern Tier's Tiramisu floats a dainty tan froth while hosting scent to coffee, chocolate, vanilla and a kahlua-like spice. Plump with malt sweetness, the early palate sees caramel woven into shortcake, vanilla wafer, dark chocolate and toffee. More robust flavors of espresso roast, walnut and woodsy hops add balance and support a bittersweet balance to finish.

Full bodied, creamy, smooth and rounded with soothing vanilla, this is one of the best blackwater series beer to come out in quite some time.

Pours dark chocolate with a glass clinging two finger deep head of foam. The aroma is caramel and coffee with black malt. Taste is lighter than expected and very much like tiramisu. Some chocolate and malt notes hit as well. Nicely done.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into pint glass in January 2026. There was a date of "BESTBY 10/10/26" stamped on the label. I drank it within two weeks of purchase.

Appearance: Very dark black with a little dark tan head. Head was less than 1 finger high, and lasted less than a minute. The head had fine bubbles, typical of a stout. It left very little lacing on the glass, and ended with no head on the beer.

Smell: Aroma of chocolate, coffee, and hops. Also some roasted malt smell.

Taste: There is strong coffee flavors, with roasted malt flavors. I also taste some sweet chocolate flavors, as well as a a little bitter hop flavors to enhance the taste. There is a nice alcohol presence, which matches the 10% on the label.

Mouth-feel: Full body, but also smooth. It has a little edge with the hop flavors.

This is a very good Imperial Stout, and I enjoyed the variety of flavors. The balance of flavors is good. Even though it is a full-bodied beer, it is still smooth and enjoyable to drink. I would buy this again.

Honestly, best beer I have had. The taste was really nice with the tiramisu taste lasting for 90% of the time and the last 10% was a nice stout taste. Will get again.

Bought a 4 pack and hoped! Turned out a good call from a brewery I like. Glad I have four to try as they have improved the closer I get to the last one. Not too sweet, nice look, overall a decent stout and worth a try. They did a good job of hiding the 10 ABV

Pours a deep dark black looks great viscous with a 1/2 inch of foam nice tanish color. Smell is awesome sweet vanilla coffee some bakers chocolate I couldn't even see how this could be bad. Reminds me alot of the mocha big coffee, chocolate sweetness then the hops kick in making it round out the big ABV. Very sweet kind of gimmicky but not bad.

Bottle from bottle shop in Coudersport PA whose name I can't remember.
Light black color with a decent sized frothy off white head. Sweetness pours out of the glass as soon as the cap comes off. Sweet sticky caramel and bits of coffee. Tasty but very sweet only good in small doses.

Tasted on tap at The Craft Bar, Fort Walton Beach, FL.

This is an excellent pastry stout. The nose is nutty and alcoholic and reminded me of their Chestnut Praline Stout, but I wasn't necessarily expecting great things from the aromas. The flavors, however, are on the next level. This beer actually does perfectly replicate the flavors of tiramisu, with the nuttiness of marscapone cheese, bready/cakiness of ladyfingers, bitter coffee and a dusting of bitter chocolate. Even with all that going on, though, it is drinkable and leaves you wanting more. The finish is off-dry and the alcohol level is well-hidden. This is a delicious, understated, but great achievement in brewing.

The smell does very little to capture the amazing taste of this stout. Very interested in trying more from this brewery
