On tap at Southern Tier Brewing Buffalo.
This one pours a dark-ish brown color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells like caramel, a bit of roast, molasses, and toffee.
This is real solid, and basically right down the middle for the style. I probably prefer the style an ABV point or two higher, but this packs a nice little punch for only being 6.8%. It’s richly malty, a little bit fruity, with caramel, molasses, toffee, and just a hint of roasty and herbal bitterness.
This is medium bodied, creamy, and very drinkable.
This feels pretty much like the dictionary definition of a scotch ale to me.
