Kind of a one-dimensional earthy punch in the mouth. Pine tones are there but they are not overly boisterous. The antithesis of this would be the heavy citrus so many people "pine" for. That's one point for pun. This is much more on the earthy side of things. Very smooth though. And quite consistent. Could be a bit more rounded and not so rustic. But for what it is, I enjoy it. Glad I went out of my way to try this one.

Pours a clean deep golden color. In the aroma, citrus and pine hops, with a sweet maltiness. In the flavor, citrus hops, more grapefruit, rye sweetness, and a nice maltiness. A nice hop bite and a medium to bigger bodied mouthfeel, with a citrus hop and malty aftertaste. I really enjoyed the rye presence in this beer, mixed well with the hop presence.

A - Pours a nice orange gold color, big two finger head, moderate lacing.
S - Orange candies, light toffee and biscuit malt, some medium floral hops.
T - Nice and dank compared to the floral in the aroma, sweet orange taste, almost like marmalade, but finishes dry.
M - Very balanced for the strong flavors goin on.
O - Solid and flavorful beer, and I'm glad to have snagged it, thanks ST for brewing this for us Yinzers

Pours a clear, deep golden color. Leaves plenty of lace down the pint. Aroma of citrus, pine, and sweet grain. In the flavor, more citrus notes of grapefruit and lemon, with a hint of zest and spice. This special brew, brewed specifically for the Pittsburgh market, is brewed with a portion of rye malt, adding to the spice and complexity. Biscuity malt and ale yeast fruitiness work well to highlight the hops. Medium to full bodied ale, with a good amount of carbonation. The bartender said "you're going to like this", and they were spot on.

Iced tea copper in color with a caramel glow. Unpopping bubbles on top. Only a quarter-inch thin.

Zippy citrusy hops are fervent in the nose. Swatches of lemon and pine permeate through slathers of grapefruit. Rye malts have a warm holiday aroma. Simple enough to enjoy, because what's here is good.

Scruffy bitterness and sudsy carbonation that runneth over sets the opening. Zesty grapefruit, bitter stone fruits, medicinal hops, leafiness, rye and barley malt, and tuned-up booze. Even the body is quite wooly. Still rocks a nice mouthburn and burp. Gentler after the finish chimes out, which is to say that it stays very dry and lingers smilingly with the taste of rye spiciness and overall herbal greenness.

Nice homage to my great city. Lucky to be here to have one at my local craft beer bar.
