Picked up a 750 mL bottle from one of the specialist beer stores in Jerusalem. Mucky bottle, but the cap was tight and it was well in date.
The color is that of a stout, but there's only a quick fizz of fast-dissipating carbonation an none of the creaminess or flavor. It's very sweet and smells of wet, muddy roadsides... almost as if it never finished fermenting. The flavor is similar, and clings to your mouth for what seems like an age. It's not a stout - this is the beer equivalent of kiddush wine. I hope it's just that my bottle is off. I think the rest of it is going down the sink.
