Brown color with a thin head with short retention. Its color is actually not bad for a Barley Wine.
Malty aroma with notes of earthy hops, wood and caramel syrup.
Flavor with notes of raisins, earthy and herbal hops, molasses, cinnamon and some black fruits. Mildly dry aftertaste.
Medium body with appropriate carbonation. Alcohol of 9% is well disguised, especially considering its body.
I had low expectations, given a person from the store suggested not to take it. But it is a balanced easy to drink Barley Wine with a good malty base (OG 1.090) backed by a decent (not predominating) amount of hops.
