Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a bright golden yellow color with some transparency to it. Carbonation could be seen rising to fill a finger’s worth of white foamy head. Mild lace after dissipation. The aroma had some soap, funk, grassy to earthy notes, sour citrus rind, herbal, basement, light bubblegum, old sweat sock and a light vinous-like/white grape sort of ending. The flavor mixed the previously mentioned aromas sour to musty to funky while letting the grassy to earthy notes mildly enter in underneath. The aftertaste was funky, sour and white grape-like. Finish was semi-dry, musty and funky. The palate was just a touch under medium bodied with a decent carbonation. ABV felt fine. It’s not smooth at all as the sour and funk end up really making this one a sipper. Overall, I’d say well....I can see a ton of sour fans loving this, maybe and maybe those Fantome’ fans too. Me, I won’t be too hard on the numbers because of that, but I wouldn’t come back to this for me.
