Reviewed from notes. Bottle from my parents. This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a murky dark brown color with a finger’s worth of off white foamy head that took some time before dieing off. Lots of lace all over the place. The aroma had some sweet meat, barnyard, bubblegum, driftwood, cereal grains, basement, earthy and a touch of nuts. The flavor did a decent job of bringing all of that together. Sweet meat is the center of attention in this department. The other parts somewhat show up but stay in the background for the most part. Aftertaste was the blend of basement/earthy driftwood to the smoke and nuts. Finish was super long and smooth through the sweet meat. The palate was about medium bodied with more of a sipping sort of quality about it. Carbonation was the usual for Fetish (over carbonated harshness) and the ABV felt alright. Overall, so I understand that Fetish has some QC problems with the "over carbonation" sort of thing going on, but one thing I really want to say with this beer is the lack of "smoke" is quite disappointing.
