Murky reddish brown color with no head whatsoever. When I opened the bottle, it made a very mild noise, meaning no much carbonation here.
Sweet aroma with notes of port wine, spearmint, lots of anise (almost naphthalene), brown sugar, some raisins, muffled plums and caramels.
Similarly, predominant flavor with notes of anise, caramels, wood, red grapes, brown sugar and plums.
Bordering full liquorish body with practically flat carbonation. Alcohol of 10% abv helps to break its sweetness.
I did not find this very pleasant. Not a big fan of anise which by the way shadowed its complexity. I would tune down the anise and tune up spices and fruity flavors.
