Golden color with a three finger thick head with great retention and leaving laces.
Aroma with sour notes usually felt in Wild Ales, I wasn’t expecting that in an Irish Red. I hope it is not contaminated. Notes of sweat and sulfur. After the aroma faded a bit, and I also felt some honey and vanilla.
Flavor with predominant notes of lemon citrusy, again more like a Sour Ale. Hints of lemon grass and attenuated pale malt, not toasted. Dry aftertaste and slightly acid.
Light body with effervescent carbonation.
This is nearly as far as you can get from the style. They sure contaminated the beer or bottled a different beer. Resulted in a watery Sour Ale with a touch of Golden Ale. I am usually not picky with styles, but this is too much. If the label said Sour, I would improve its grade.
