The best of their hoppy beers. A cream freshness, lace look, and lemon hop oil taste throughout. At the source on draft. West Coast treatment. Good drinker.

Cloudy pale orange-tan color. Poured a medium height head that collapsed into a lumpy head after a minute and then down to a skiff after a few more minutes. Left thick lacing on any part of the glass it touched.
Strong vegetal hop scent with some yeast funk. Just a bit of malt showing up. Some light fruit I cannot identify. Swirling the glass kicked up a very light barnyard and some orange citrus. A hint of some pine resin.
Starts off with a sweet orange citrus flavor for just a second before the hops kick in with a medium bitter. Light malt flavor just barely shows up under all the other flavor. The orange comes back after it warms in the mouth a bit. The pine resin also comes back with some warmth. The aftertaste kicks up the bitters with more of the resin. The orange is much reduced but also picks up a bit more of the peel and pith flavor. The flavors all taper off leaving hops and pine resin to the very end. The hops and resin flavor levels build up in my mouth the deeper I get in the glass, something like the way some chili pepper heat builds up as you eat more of some really spicy food.
Medium level tongue tingling as the foam builds up. Stays somewhat coarse feeling; never gets to a creamy feel. Left a thin layer on my teeth. Very mildly astringent.
Good example of the style. The pine resin flavor was a bit surprising, but it blended well with the light orange citrus, especially in the aftertaste with the orange peel. There was nice evolution in smell and flavor as the beer warmed up towards the end of the glass.

473ml can - a cross between a Wit and an IPA, inspired by the battle between a valiant knight and a dragon, apparently.
This beer pours a hazy, medium apricot yellow colour, with a teeming tower of puffy, rocky, and mildly bubbly eggshell white head, which leaves some random splatter pattern lace around the glass as it slowly yet surely abates.
It smells of blood orange, red grapefruit, and lemon peel, bready and doughy cereal malt, some mild coriander spiciness, and further leafy, weedy, and piney green hop bitters. The taste is gritty and grainy caramel malt, a mixed domestic citrus fruit bowl, some additional crackery wheatiness, faint earthy spice, and more herbal, floral, and piney verdant hoppiness.
The carbonation is fairly understated in its innocuous frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really getting in the way of a good time at this point in the game. It finishes off-dry, the malt and citrus essences holding the lions' share of the lingering cards.
Overall - this one definitely leans more in the IPA direction, but a few Wit characteristics do show up, as noted. Crisp, refreshing, and rather easy to put back (the extra point and a half of ABV sure helps on a day where I had to upgrade my choice in jacket when going outside).

Bought from brewery June 2016, served in a mason jar out of a half growler. Pours very cloudy, amber, very nice creamy head. I pick up a bitter, citrus aroma right away. Not very hoppy (good) for 60 IBUs, strong notes of grapefruit, apricot, a little grassy. Sweet finish, lingers a bit. It's delicious in my books, but deserves a high mark for being strong all around. Recommended.
