Bottled: 2017
It pours clear brass colored with a couple fingers of short-lived fizzy head. Barely any retention or lacing. The aroma is bright vinegar sourness with some earthy funk that doesn't quite bring any balance. The flavor is crisp acetic tartness right up front, hay and sweet tarts. It is thin with active carbonation and a lingering sweet tart finish.
This is a pretty nice little sour. It is simple and straightforward tasting (at least to my relatively untrained palate for this general subset of beers). The sourness is pointed but it is not quite sharp. It is fairly drinkable and pretty nice. I can't really tell what the barrel brought to it, but who knows...
