The colour is golden yellow (a little bit darker than the average Åbro pale lager); the finger thick white foam sinks down to a fine ring. No lacing.
The medium strong smell is dry and bitter with notes of diacetyl, dough and herbs.
The taste is malty, bready and dry and clean. There is more body than I had expected. A straightforward bitterness emerges after a short while; there are also flavours of diacetyl and bitter almonds. The rather long aftertaste is lemon-like bitter with some notes of French loaf.
The carbonation is strong and fresh. However, the small bubbles are never sharp.
A surprisingly good 3.5%-abv lager from Åbro, it seems like they finally have got ridden of their notorious sweetness.
