Poured from a can into a shaker pint, the beer is a bright, hazy, caramel-orange coloring, with a filmy, low profile, clingy, white head. Nose of caramel, thistle, pepper, and tropical fruit. Flavor are roasted and sweet forward, with tangy caramel, floral hops, and tart citrus notes. Smooth, light, and crisp in mouth, with a muddled, sweet aftertaste. The finish is smooth and slightly cloying. Interesting beer....tasty.

I bought this since I am a big fan of Graeme McDowell. The beer does pour a very bright golden color with a fleeting head and minimal lacing. Smell is dominated by cereal with little hop note. The taste is malty with a slightly sweet finish. The carbonation level is very good. Overall this is an average beer that would go down great if served by the cart girl or in the clubhouse on a hot day. While it is a fine beer, I question if it is worth the 9.99/6 12 ounce can price point when there were Cigar City Brewing beers in the same cooler at the same price.

Golf Beer surprised me by sending me a can in the mail. Brewed by BrewHub in Lakeland.
A lovely golden color with a puffy white head that reduces to a quarter-inch layer in my glass.
Aroma of cereal with a hint of citrus hops.
The cereal aroma carries over to the taste, buttery and slightly sweet with a hit of bitterness from the hops followed by citrus hops.
Crisp body.
A light, yet pleasingly bitter brew.

This is not a tasty beer. The can says floral with a crisp finish. Misleading marketing. It pains me to write this because I'm a Gmac fan. Hopefully he keeps at it, like his champion golf game, and improves upon this.
