A smooth, dark pour. With similar roasted undertones to the Ubergrippen, this porter is unique with its backside malt profile. Just like its 18th century London ancestors, this brew is lightly hopped. Remember, lean to the left, as you sail away on your port tack.

Black as pitch with a thin tan head coupled with a thick ring on the glass with excellent lacing. The smell was biscuit and dark roasty malts with espresso and hazelnut notes. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and less creamy than expected, but the taste followed the nose decently with a touch of tartness. I would give this one another go.
