Poured from tap into shaker, minimal head good lacing. Clear golden in the glass. Smells slightly of cracker, heavily of black pepper. Taste not really like a oils per say, getting fruity esters on the front, good black pepper thru the middle, and a somewhat smooth finish with a slight bitterness.

Having tried this at Small Brew Pub around a year ago, I was excited to see it on tap at Strangeways. To my surprise, though, the recipe seems to have changed considerably since my first tasting. It now tastes like a mild sour beer rather than the slightly edgy pils that it once was. I hope this can be chocked up to mad science or just an odd batch, because the original brew was impeccably yummy. My ratings are based on my first tasting, not the sour batch.

O- love this, my favorite pils for sure, and a great standard by Small Brewpub. Perfect summer table beer, will drink again.

This is rated in mind that this beer is very cheap and very light, a beautifier summer pils. Not my favorite style making this easily my favorite pils. Pepper comes through but does not dominate, good bitter hops. Amazing summer table beer
